Hello, I'm having an issue and it's driving me crazy. Not sure if this is something that can be fixed on my end or if it's a bug. I'm having loud bursts of noise whenever I either skip to a different region or just move the playhead and play at a different point. This also happens when I'm doing a Render Region Matrix for multiple songs and I get these pops at the beginning of my tracks and it's so annoying. This seems to be related to using guitar amp sims and drum triggers. Amplitube 4 and Slate Trigger 2 specifically, but I haven't tried others. Sometimes while using Trigger 2 when I start playing it will just have a trigger misfire of a snare or kick out of nowhere before the song starts. I assume that there is something in the buffer being sent to the VST that happens on playback and that causes it to make a sound. Same with the amp sim, REAPER seems to send a small blip of sound to the amp causing it to make a loud pop with the same tone that the amp is set in. I've tried everything that I can think of to fix this, but no luck. Below is a short video demonstrating the problem. Thank you!!

OK. First things first. What computer are you running? PC or Mac? What processor, how much ram, what audio/MIDI interface? Are you using the ASIO drivers for your interface? This sounds to me like you are trying to run too much at too low an asio buffer setting, or using something other than ASIO or WASAPi for audio. As always, download the free User guide - there is a great section at the beginning on how to get the best out of your particular setup - and have a look at some of the excellent free videos also shown as a download area at the top of this web page. Oh - and a belated welcome to the forums!

Here's an example of what it does at the beginning of a track that I rendered:

Now listening to sound you call "pop" it sounds more like part of a hi tom hit or something. Just mute tracks until it disappear so you know at least what generates it. Maybe you need a gate on Slate trigger, so not initial noise trigger anything. Or mute automation at start of track.

Have you tried doing a new, portable install, importing your tracks one by one, adding the relevant plug one by one? Sometimes it takes that level of fault-finding to narrow down exactly WHERE the problem is happening. I still have Amplitube on my studio machine but no longer use it because it IS pretty flaky for me. And FWIW I have never managed to gt SSD4 working reliably on either of my machines, even with Slate support phoning me from USA and trying to get me up and running via teamviewer. They gave up in the end, as did I. And one other thing to get out of the way. Have you already tried downloading and installing another DAW to see if it behaves the same way with these plugins? Plenty of freebie demo versions out there. Sorry I cant offer any more immediate suggestions.
